Angel Wings Farm is nestled at the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation of 2700 feet in beautiful southwest Virginia and is located about 80 miles west of Roanoke Virginia and 50 miles northwest of Winston-Salem NC. We are about 12 air miles from Mount Airy, NC the birth place and childhood home of Andy Griffith of "Mayberry" fame.
Our plan for 2010 is to provide a "choose and cut" opportunity for those looking for a wonderful experience in "Mayberry Country" as you select a tree from the field that will allow you to experience the wonder and charm of Christmas past.
Until then we are beginning our Internet sale of trees shipped directly to your home. This ordering system will allow you to select the type tree, size and approximate date of arrival at your door. This tree will be cut and packaged within 24 hours of the ship date and will assure you of a fresh tree that will continue to draw water from the stand for weeks following shipment to you. This insures that your home will be filled with the aroma of the Christmas season as your enjoy your fresh cut tree. We offer two of the best trees for needle retention and limb strength to allow the attachment of heavier ornaments. These are Fraser Fir and Canaan Fir. The Canaans are a near kinsman to the Fraser Fir and are native to the Canaan Valley of West Virginia. The Fraser Fir is often called the "premier Christmas tree of North America" with its forest green color, extraordinary needle retention, wonderful smell and traditional shape. Those trees that do not meet our strict specifications are used to manufacture wreaths. This practice insures that we ship only the finest trees at very reasonable pricing.
Our wreaths are available in 3 sizes: 22, 26, and 30 inches. Our handcrafted wreaths are made in our workshop from fresh Fraser tips and shipped by FedEx Home Delivery Service straight to your door!
